Used, Pre-Owned & Demo Instruments

Since 1958 Jim Laabs Music has been selling and servicing pre-owned musical instruments. In that time we have developed our own intake and inspection process when dealing with pre-owned instruments. Our guidelines and process is simple:

  • 1) We never buy or take on trade any instrument that we wouldn't want for ourselves. The "Golden Rule" of musical instrument sales and service!
  • 2) All instruments are inspected by a certified technician. Jim Laabs Music employs over a dozen different technicians throughout the country that will receive our used instruments for inspection and/or repair. Their areas of expertise range from clarinet pads, to piano pin blocks and marimba key tuning!
  • 3) Post inspection our used instruments are disinfected, cleaned, polished and evaluated for realistic market value. By establishing the realistic market value we put our customers performance before our profits while enabling us to continue to pay our employees fairly.
